Twede's Cafe
The story goes that while scouring the country for the right location for his new ABC series, director David Lynch spotted Twede’s, along with the whole Snoqualmie Valley, and deemed the place “Perfect!” The show immortalized the café’s cherry pie and “damn fine cup o’ coffee” as uttered by Agent Dale Cooper, although the name was changed to the Double R Diner for the show. Kitty Cafes
Seattle is now home to two “cat cafes” where guest come to enjoy a beverage while playing with a few cats and if you enjoy their company, you might be able to take them home with you as well.
Seattle Meowtropolitan (located in Wallingford) opened its doors last December and the Kitty Catfe (located in Edmonds) is just a few weeks old. More info >>>

5 Point Cafe
The 5 Point Café has been in operation since 1929 making it Seattle longest run family eatery (and oldest bar) in the Belltown neighborhood. Open 24 hours a day, a rarity for non-chain restaurants in the area, you can order breakfast any time of the day and even have it pretty darn cheap too during 5 Point’s “Breakfast Happy Hour” from 6:00-9:00 a.m. with menu options that won’t break that bank including French Toast, Short Stack Pancakes, Half Bennie, Breakfast Burritos and more. Goldfinch Tavern
Named after Washington’s state bird, The Goldfinch Tavern is a partnership between Ethan Stowell Restaurants and the Four Season Hotel and is led by Chef Joe Ritchie. Serving Pacific Northwest cuisine, the upscale restaurant says that it plays tribute to the lumberjacks and sailor of yesteryear creating a sophisticated yet comfortable place for locals to conduct business while enjoying food and drink with a view that overlooks the waterfront. Lombardi's Italian Restaurant
Lombardi’s Italian Restaurant in Everett is usually officially closed on Christmas, but in 2016, the restaurant stayed open will for some very special guests reports The Herald. Despi Delite Bakery
While some larger doughnut shop chains get all the attention, you just might miss one of Seattle’s best independent bakeries. The Despi Delite Bakery has been in operation for almost 30 years on Beacon Hill and is run by the Despi family. Now, one member of that family has ventured north opening his own bakery. Christian Despi’s new store recently opened in Everett and serves up the same quality pastries (both savory and sweet), four-tiered fondant wedding cakes, croissants, empanadas, cookies, breads and more.
