Bond With Your Kids in the Mud

Information about the 2017 Kids Obstacle Challenge

The Kids Obstacle Challenge is an event that is designed for kids ages 5-16 but there parents get to jump into the fun too for free! Each course is built with 10-15 fun obstacles and lots of mud. According to event organizers, “The mission of Kids Obstacle Challenge is to inspire and challenge kids, and forge family bonds, through adventure and obstacles. We proclaim, ‘Brave Your Adventure!’ to encourage kids to courageously face the obstacles they will encounter on our adventure courses and carry that courageousness over to obstacles they will encounter in life.”

You can expect to help your kids use the rope swing into a large mud pit, army crawl through tough (but not impossible) terrain, climb cargo nets and ball pits and slide into yet another large pool of mud plus a lot more.

The Seattle event will take place at Lake Sammamish State Park on August 19, 2017. Entry fee is $46 if you register online before the event or $56 in person the day of the event. Each admission includes a custom 2017 race medal, free event photos, a goodie bag and finish line snacks. Also, if your kids can’t get enough of the run, they can do it over and over again for just $5 more.

Lake Sammamish State Park is located at 2000 NW Sammamish Rd., Issaquah, WA 98027. For more details, visit the Kids Obstacle Challenge website.
