SPECIAL EVENTThe International Bubble Flash Mob has been planned for Saturday, July 8, 2017 from 1:00-1:30 p.m. but with all flash mobs, the location will be held a secret until a few hours before the event. The only clue given is that it will be held somewhere in Seattle, so if you plan to go, don’t wander too far off. To be in the know, visit the Bubble Flash Mob website and sign up. You’ll receive an email on the day of the event three hours before the bubbles get blowing.
“We will be meeting at the location at 1:00p.m. Hide the best you can. At 1:00 p.m. you will receive the cue to start,” say the event organizers. The event is free and is a BYOB event (bring your own bubbles). And “most importantly don’t forget to bring a fun attitude, a big smile, and high fives all round.”
Now for a few rules for the event from the organizers:
- Please act as casual as possible before and after the flash mob. If you find it hard to keep a straight face, bring a book or an Ipod.
- Please don’t blow bubbles into people’s faces (No one wants soap in their eyes or on their electronics.)
- Practice your bubble blowing. With a little practice before hand you can turn your average five bubbles per blow to a whopping 10-20 bubbles per blow.
- Remember the quick napkin wipe down afterward. It would be a shame to have someone slip over in the name of flash mobbing.
