"Ode: A Feral Kid, King Lear & The Surgeon’s Knife."
(West of Lenin)

West of Lenin presents Ode: A Feral Kid, King Lear & The Surgeon’s Knife by Nike Imoru. Directed by John Britton and music composed by Ryan Leyva, Ode is considered a dance-theatre fusion of storytelling that “depicts the journey of a life filled with wit, wonder, faith, and a good dose of ruthless reality.” West of Lenin describes the program as follows:

“In the depiction of numerous characters - from Mary Poppins to Lady Macbeth and turning zombie to life-saving surgery, Ode shows us how choices, actions, and consequences can inspire us to do extraordinary things in life and in art. Ode creates stories upon stories to make you laugh, cry, and ponder life's rich tapestry.”

Ode will be presented April 21 through May 20, 2017. Performances times are 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday and 2:00 p.m. on Sundays. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online. West of Lenin is located at 203 N. 36th Street in Seattle 98103.
