Woodland Park Zoo says to “hop, skip and jump” to the zoo for the 16th Annual Bunny Bounce which will be jam-packed with “eggs-citing” events planned all day on Saturday, April 15, 2017 from 9:30 a.m.- 3:00 p.m.

Of course there will be Easter egg hunts for kids ages 1-8 but there will be more to explore as well including “bunny encounters and various zoo programs. The animals will be celebrating too exploring specially placed Easter baskets made just for them to destroy, er, enjoy that include edible flower, berries and other treats. Not only are these events fun to watch, but it is also part of Woodland Park Zoo’s care program aimed at keeping the animals mentally stimulated. Among the animals receiving baskets this year include orangutans, lemurs, grizzlies and more.

If you come, be sure to visit early as space will be limited. Each Easter egg hunt will be open on a first-come, first-served basis, but there will be several held throughout the day. Egg hunts for those age three and under will be presented continually from 9:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m. at the picnic shelter near the North Meadow. Egg hunts for those ages three to five and six to eight will be held every 30 minutes from 10:00 a.m. - noon and then again from 1:00 -2:30 p.m. on the North Meadow. Families will need to bring their own baskets or bags to carry the eggs in and in order to keep the animals safe, no candy will be placed inside the eggs but kids will receive their treats on the way out of the zoo. (This will probably be nice for mom and dad too.)
