|"The Snowy Day" (Seattle Children's Theatre)|
Based on the book by Ezra Jack Keats, The Snowy Day will play at Seattle Children’s Theatre from January 19 to February 26, 2017. Told in bite-sized pieces, this play is recommended for children age 4 on up. Other stories told with this presentation include Whistle for Willie, Goggles! and A Letter to Amy.
“Oh, the magic of a snowy day! Follow Peter and his friends as they romp and play, starting snow ball fights and making snow angels in this imaginative ode to childhood joys and the challenges of growing up. Packed with humor and fun, this production uses wonderfully innovative shadow puppetry and live action to celebrate Keats’ treasured characters,” says the theatre.
Those with short attention spans will appreciate the 75-minute long running time of The Snowy Day. Performances will be presented at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday nights, 2:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Saturdays and 11:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Sundays. A special ASL interpreted performance will be held on February 4 at 2:00 p.m. Tickets range from $22-40 and can be purchased online.
