Emerald City Comicon Celebrates 15 Years

Emerald City Comicon
(Emerald City Comicon)

How big is the Emerald City Comicon? Well, last year, over 88,000 people attended the comic book and pop culture convention many sporting incredible costumes while other settled for just superhero logo t-shirt and jeans. This year’s four-day event will feature a tribute to Carrie Fisher, Terry Brooks (author of the Shannara series), “Lost Girl” Anna Silk and lots of comic book artists. More guests are being added every week on the Comicon website.

This year’s event will be held from March 2-5, 2017 at the Washington State Convention Center. Tickets that are not sold out can be purchased right up to the event, but in order to avoid the Will Call line, it is recommended that you purchase your tickets online before January 27. Tickets for Thursday only are $20. Tickets for all other days are $40 each except for Saturday which has been sold out. In addition, this year’s 4-day tickets have been sold out as well. Kids ages 6-12 can get in for just $20 which is good for the whole event. (All minors under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.)

The Convention Center is located at 800 Convention Pl., Seattle 98101.
