‘The Twilight Zone’ Up Close and In Person

The Twilight Zone Live (Theater Schmeater)
A long-standing tradition at Theater Schmeater is to present various episodes of the iconic TV series, The Twilight Zone and bring it live to the stage. This winter, the troupe will present The Monster are Due on Maple Street, The Shelter and The Night of the Meek all shown during one performance. “We are proud to present three episodes which will ignite memories in some, and nightmares for many,” says Theater Schmeater.

The Monsters are Due on Maple Street: The thin line of civilization is crossed when a quiet suburban neighborhood is unhinged due to mysterious power outages, strange occurrences and mob fear in this chilling exposé in the human condition.

The Night of the Meek: The promise of Christmas cheer often rings hollow to the denizens of Skid Row. But for one unfortunate, belief offers miracles in this tale that will soften the heart of the cynic, and delight the dreamer in us all.

The Shelter: A neighborly birthday party is reduced to stark survival reflex when the word of incoming missiles comes over the radio. Who decides who dies and who gets to live in The Shelter.

The Twilight Zone Live! will be presented Thursday - Saturday nights from November 18 – December 17, 2016 with additional performances on November 30 and December 14. Tickets are $28.94* for general admission and $24.80* for students and seniors (*= including service fee). Tickets can be purchased online or in person.

“Our work with future audiences is also very exciting. Since the theater's beginnings it has been our policy to admit any person eighteen years or younger for free to any Theater Schmeater production. All of our scripts are chosen to encourage youngsters to become aware of (and enjoy!) theater, while at the same time entertaining adults.”

Theater Schmeater is located at 2125 3rd Ave. in Seattle 98121. For more information, call (206) 324-5801.
